OUR STORY

Owner, Ray Thompson, comes from a background in the Petrochemical industry. Starting out his career in the 70’s, Ray, worked in the main workshop at Klipfontein Organic Products, known today as NCP Chlorchem  – presently recognised as one of the Chlorine giants in South Africa.  He went on to qualify as a fitter and turner and proceeded to complete his education in Mechanical Engineering.  This foundation afforded him the opportunity to gain experience in quality awareness, pump design, heat exchangers and machining capabilities. In the 80’s he was offered and accepted a position as Maintenance Manager whereby he represented Aquachlor / NCP in South Africa and the United States of America. He joined Titanium International Fabricators (PTY) Ltd in the 90’s as a 50% shareholder, whereby, he was introduced and involved with Titanium and high Nickel Alloys.

In 2003, Peter Annandale, joined the company – bringing with him a wealth of experience, which he gained in the steel and chemical plant industry, having previously worked at SCAW Metals, NCP Chlorchem and HTH/Arch Chemicals, as a Mechanical Engineer.  These days, he heads up Tifab (PTY) Ltd’s Production section.
